Home office renovations, nonsense and garden things!

Hi all! Just an update.. We just finished moving into our new house and I am happy to announce that I now have a home office/workshop!! (which I am in love with) Also just started school again so updates will be few, but hopefully interesting :)

Jewelry display wall! Easily customizable when you need to add more rows (made with screw in wall hooks and cheap 20 gauge wire)!

Garden!!.. consisting of basil, spicy oregano, onions, cilantro, jalapenos, green beans, squash, pumpkin, cucumber, tomatoes, 2 kinds of lavender, and baby lettuce!

Home office renovation!! BEFORE: Pic taken  just after peeling stubborn tinkerbell wallpaper from the walls.....

Now what color to choose??? Sunflower yellow? Aqua? Light blue??

Serene light blue it is! 3 light walls with one slightly darker accent wall.

And Voila! 3 days later and the room is ready for decorating!.. loving this color, very calm :)

Making copper stacking rings!

Sizing and cutting 16 gauge dead soft copper wire

Wire ends have been filed down flat to fit perfectly together to create a 'seamless' join. Very important to line them up the best you can.. you'll thank yourself  after seeing your perfect seam!

Copper rings before soldering and after soldering and quenching!

Painting copper ring with Flux to prevent firescale before torching! I paint the whole ring just to make sure.

Copper rings and silver earrings in pickling solution.. won't be long now til they're all clean and pretty!

My small soldering setup.. temporary for now, but works just fine! Magnesium block doesn't stay pretty for very long!

Copper ring after sanding excess solder, hammering, polishing and buffing to a shine!

And voila!! Cute copper stacking rings! Two of the seams broke, but I re-soldered them and they were fine (be careful when hammering or your seams could bust open!)
